BAT Group has more than 100 years of history, ranging from tobacco manufacturing, distribution and also shared services. Today, we are here, representing the global business services of BAT. The range of extended services we provide to our BAT commercial comrades covers IDT, Finance and HR.
We recruit 55,000 people globally. In global business services (GBS), we employ over 700 strong talents who are actively involved in the GBS spectrum of Finance, HR and IDT.
No. Our workforce is no different to other leading FMCG companies, nor are our offices. The ratio of smokers to non-smokers is probably very similar to other businesses and the culture we have is about collaboration, productiveness and positivity – not about whether you smoke or not.
Smoking poses serious health risks – and the only way to avoid these risks is not to smoke. We are very open about this. Our working hours are 8 hours per day. However we practice freedom through responsibility and our core office hours being from 9am – 4.30pm. Hence, if you started work early, you would be able to leave early for the day.
